Please read these terms carefully before using Soma.
By accessing or using the Soma platform — including Soma Portal, Soma Connect, Soma X, and any related services (collectively, "Soma" or the "Services") — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are accessing Soma on behalf of a school or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
Soma Education Technologies is a company registered in Zimbabwe and based in Harare. We provide school management software to educational institutions. Contact us at tanatswachiyangwa0@gmail.com.
Soma provides a suite of software tools for school management:
Schools must register with Soma to access the platform. School administrators are responsible for creating and managing staff, student, and parent accounts within their institution. Each user receives a unique Soma ID. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Your use of Soma is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using Soma, you consent to the data practices described in that policy.
Schools retain ownership of their institutional data, including student records entered into the platform. Soma does not sell your data or use student information for advertising purposes.
Soma offers subscription plans as described on our Pricing page. Subscriptions are billed monthly or as agreed upon in a written agreement. Schools may cancel at any time; however, no refunds are provided for partial periods unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Soma offers flexible billing in USD and ZiG (Zimbabwe Gold). The applicable rate and currency will be confirmed in your subscription agreement. Soma reserves the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' written notice to the school.
We aim to keep Soma available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime due to factors outside our control, including internet connectivity issues in Zimbabwe. We will endeavour to notify schools of planned maintenance in advance.
All software, design, trademarks, and content within the Soma platform are the intellectual property of Soma Education Technologies. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for their intended purpose. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Soma's intellectual property without written permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by Zimbabwean law, Soma Education Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data, revenue, or reputation. Our total liability to any school shall not exceed the total fees paid by that school in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Either party may terminate a subscription agreement with 30 days' written notice. Soma may immediately suspend or terminate access if a school materially breaches these terms, including non-payment or misuse of the platform. Upon termination, we will provide a data export to the school and delete their data within 30 days upon written request.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes arising from the use of Soma shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Zimbabwe.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify schools via email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of Soma after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
