Can we migrate our existing data?
Yes. Our onboarding team helps import existing student records, historical results, and fee data. We've done this for schools moving from spreadsheets, SAGE, and other local systems.
What internet connection do schools need?
Soma is optimised for Zimbabwe's connectivity reality. The desktop app works with intermittent internet and syncs when connected. Mobile apps support offline reading of key data.
Do parents pay separately for Soma Connect?
No. Soma Connect is free for parents — the school's subscription covers all parent and student access. Parents just download the app and link their child's profile.
How long does onboarding take?
Most schools are fully live within 2–5 business days. We handle the technical setup; we just need your staff and student data. Larger schools or complex data imports may take a week.
